analytical organic.

this feels right, with just one downside. this is the way examinations should be structured - with the student in mind and not the administrative side in mind.

ideally, we should have it in a way that we have intense examinations (a la paper after paper after paper) for a short period of time before we have a short break. preferably, those papers would be of the same subject so as to facilitate revision.

not like this, to be honest. chem paper 3 more than a week after chem paper 1 and 2, during which my brain has been filled to the brim with microecons, macroecons, intl trade, siddhartha, huck finn, paddy clarke, lenin, stalin, hitler, mao, wwi, wwii, russian civil, chinese civil, differentiation/integration (i still get confused between the two), coordinate geometry, algebra, apgp, statistics, trigo, weird mathematical symbols and signs, a math-physics fusion in what we know as vectors (urgh) and I THINK YOU GET THE IDEA.

unfortunately, paper 3 (options) deals with two things: further analytical chem, and further organic chem. for goodness sakes if we were to just throw away the basics of our chemistry, could we go any "further" and study for this today? i mean further organic chem was taught with "basic" organic chem and it was a blessing because we learnt mechanisms (<3!!!) which made life so much easier. obviously, they're meant to be studied hand-in-hand. and now, all i can remember is something really really vague about markovnikov's rule x_x

in any case, i'm still glad i have a day off to study for this rather intense paper that awaits me tomorrow. and then schoolwork comes in as i realise i should really get my 3rd draft of world lit done before the final submission beckons. oh, and that will come in the midst of guitar foa rehearsals. brilliant, eh?

i need to start learning the flowery insults of blackadder to supplement my hokkien ones. perhaps if i translate the blackadder ones into hokkien, i might actually start making hokkien attas. i wonder what "(insert thing) is about as effective as a cat flap in an elephant house" would be in hokkien.

hm.
